Associate Director of Career Education
Liz has over 25 years of experience in education, business, and human resources. She enjoys connecting with students and guiding them through their career education experience at Queens College. Seeing the success of her students and building valuable relationships with employers and alumni are also an important part of her role. In her spare time she enjoys running, boating, and traveling with her friends and family.

Kristina Aranbayeva
CUNY LEADS Support Specialist
Kristina has over 13 years of experience in Mental Health Counseling and Career Counseling. She is also a Disabilities Rights Advocate. Kristina is also a published author. She published her first book of poetry, “Words As Weapons”, in November 2017. Her favorite book and movie is ‘Gone With the Wind’. In her spare time she enjoys writing, reading and listening to music.

Alyssa is pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology at Queens College, focusing on Saltmarsh Sparrow conservation. She is an adjunct at Baruch College teaching Fundamentals of Ecology. Alyssa enjoys birdwatching.
Celida Guillermo
Celida is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Queens College and double minoring in Urban Studies and Music Production. She is a musician and creates original songs with her own lyrics and instrumentation and is a member of the QC Pre-Law Association. She enjoys going to the studio, video gaming, and traveling around the world.
Sadia Joya
Sadia is pursuing a double Bachelor’s degree in Biology (with a Pre-Medicine track) and English and minoring in History at Queens College. She is a Student Ambassador and the Secretary of the English Club at Queens College. She works as a Bengali Interpreter at the Board of Elections NYC. In her free time, she translates TED talks into Bengali and writes for an online platform, Bengalis of New York. She has three dreams: wear that white coat that doctors wear, publish her bestsellers in both Bengali and English and perform music at a concert. She likes to introduce herself using this quote, “Don’t be busy; be productive.”
Joey Lau
Joey Lau is a recent alumna of Queens College where she double-majored in Communication Sciences and Disorder and Psychology. She is an aspiring Speech-Language Pathologist and has a strong passion for the healthcare industry. She invigorates her adventurous soul by going on hikes and traveling to new places.

Becky is pursuing a Dual Master’s degree in childhood Education and Special Education at Queens College. She is a volunteer tutor at the Center For Immigration Education and Training(CIET). Becky enjoys reading novels about people in history and visiting art museums.
Yolanda Omigie
Yolanda is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Queens College. Outside of school, she runs a women’s community called ‘Sister Circle’ for young Black women living in NY and learning how to code. Yolanda enjoys watching Broadway shows, traveling and eating.
